چکیده
Abstract In this study, the response of ten composite post-tensioned concrete beams topped by a reinforced deck with adequate reinforcing shear connectors is investigated. Depending on compressive strength slab (20, 30, and 40 MPa), are grouped into three categories. Seven these exposed to fire attack 700 800 °C temperature simultaneously or without presence uniformly distributed sustained static loading. After cooling back ambient temperature, loaded up failure, using force control module, monotonic loading in four-point-bending setup two symmetrical concentrated loads applied middle third effective span. The objectives study include investigating behavior prestressed under after exposure direct flame, as well finding their residual load-carrying capacity. Tests demonstrate significant deteriorations caused high temperatures associated increase member’s camber. midspan camber heating reached approximately 200%. On other hand, 1-h steady-state test specimens led reduce capacity heat-deteriorated 45% 54%, respectively.

Nonlinear Models of Reinforced and Post-tensioned Concrete Beams
Commercial finite element software generally includes dedicated numerical models for the nonlinear response of concrete under loading. These models usually include a smeared crack analogy to account for the relatively poor tensile strength of concrete, a plasticity algorithm to facilitate concrete crushing in compression regions and a method of specifying the amount, the distribution and the or...

The ultra-high strength self-compacting concrete, UHSSCC is the new generation type of concrete with a compressive strength higher than 80MPa. The application of this type of concrete on the serviceability state in CFRP strengthened unbonded post-tensioned indeterminate I-beam is monitored and the results are compared theoretically using different standards. For this aim, full scale I-beam of 9...

The utilization of unbounded external reinforcing bars is one of the strengthening methods used after loading stage and before failure. The method has been used in different forms to strengthen members of reinforced concrete structures. To investigate the effect of utilization of post-tensioned reinforcing bars in this method of strengthening, a number of reinforced concrete beams was tested. S...

The application of external post-tensioned steel bars as an effective way to strengthen an existing bridge has been so far used in many different countries. In recent decades, however, they have been replaced by bars made from Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP), as a material with high tensile strength and corrosion resistance, to address several concerns with steel bars such as their appli...
متن کاملUnbonded Post Tensioned Concrete in Fire: A Review of Data from Furnace Tests and Real Fires
The fire-safe design of concrete structures which incorporate post-tensioned prestressing tendons has recently been the subject of debate within the structural engineering community, particularly when unbonded post-tensioned (UPT) prestressing tendons are used. Despite several studies aimed at furthering our understanding of the response of UPT concrete structures in fire, many aspects of their...
